As the season changes and the temperature rises, I always like to switch up the dark colours in my closet for bold and brighter ones. The spring/summer fashion trends 2018 are all about colours, patterns and prints! With this in mind I’ve selected several items to give you an idea on how to incorporate these fashion trends into your own wardrobe. All pieces are from ZARA and if you like you can shop them right away.
Dare to wear
Bright yellow dresses, magenta suits or perhaps neon coloured clothing?! Dare to make a bold fashion statement. After all, bolder is better! But in case you’re not comfortable with wearing a complete bold outfit, please don’t do it then. Instead, you can also add bold accessories to your neutral outfit. This way you can still make a statement without being too extravagant.
Cute in pastel
If bold colours aren’t just really your thing, then pastel colours might suit you better. As a matter of fact, soft pastels are a very popular choice when it comes to spring/summer fashion. Not only do pastel colours have the power to make you appear younger, they instantly make you look cute too!
Another spring/summer fashion trend that’s coming back year after year are floral prints. Combine floral prints with a good pair of heels for a feminine, elegant and slightly flirty look.
If you have paid close attention in history class, you probably remember that the men used to wear ruffles during the Renaissance. That’s right, ruffles were originally unisex and have been featured in fashion ever since the 16th century. However, this season the ruffles are back again!
Check patterns are found in a huge variety of colours, garments and accessories. Even though this pattern is usually worn during winter season, surprisingly this year we’ll be seeing it a lot during spring and summer too.
*Please note that the mentioned prices may change at any time and that the product availability may vary by country.
I really hope you enjoyed reading this blog post and that it gave you some inspiration on how to incorporate these spring/summer fashion trends into your own wardrobe. Before I end this post I do want to point out that you should always wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. This must be remembered at all times, despite of what’s trending or not. Still I have one last question for you.
Do you prefer colourful clothing or black clothing?
