Besides the fact that we have to cope with uncomfortable periodes, us women have to go through a lot. We plan, we worry, we get moody, we overthink things. Oh and did I already mention the pressure of living up to ridiculous beauty standards? Or constantly having to shave almost our entire body?! Even though things aren’t always easy, there are still plenty of reasons to think of why being a woman is so awesome. In honor to celebrate International Women’s Day I’m listing 10 benefits of being a woman. Happy International Women’s Day ladies!
I’m super excited to tell you that I’m nominated for the Liebster Award 2018! The Liebster Award is a virtual award that was founded in 2011 and is given to bloggers by bloggers ever since. I really want to thank Layla from De Slanke Sloeber for nominating me. I’m flattered and I really appreciate that you thought of me. Layla also asked me to answer a couple of questions about me and my blog. But before we head further to the questions, let me tell you more about The Liebster Award.
Sometimes you just run out of ideas and getting a few sentences on paper can already be a struggle then. That’s when writer’s block strikes. When this happens to me I always like to make a mindmap and write down everything that comes up in my mind. As a result of that I instantly came up with 50 blog post ideas! I thought it would fun to dedicate an entire blog post to it and help you out as well.
Hi girls, how is 2018 going so far? For me it started off pretty good. But looking back at 2017, that wasn’t exactly my year. Still a lot of good things did happen though. I had an amazing first backpacking experience, I’ve signed up for several courses and I’ve been working on some exciting new goals. But most important of all, 2017 was a year in which I learned a lot about myself. I learned about who I am, what I like and where I want to be in life. This may sound very deep but self reflection is way too underrated if you’d ask me. Regular self reflection resulted in a few valuable life lessons that I really want to share with you. I’m fully confident that if we keep these life lessons in mind, we can make 2018 the best year yet!
An organised life is a happy life. Well at least for me then. That’s why I’m starting 2018 fresh with my new Peony Planner from The Happiness Planner. It was the one thing I had on Christmas wishlist this year and I’m sooo happy with it! Ever since I was in high school I loved personalising my school planners. Every school year I would decorate my planner with pictures, stickers, quotes etc.
You probably be thinking, “but who still uses a planner these days?” Aren’t there all kinds of apps for that?! I know I’m old school. I still prefer to write things down, make lists for everything and carry a planner around with me. But this planner is more than just a planner. Instead of focusing on productivity, it focuses on living a happier life. It is designed to help you become a more positive person by embracing positivity and giving you your daily dose of mindfulness. Also the planner guides you to help accomplish your goals so that you can become the best version of yourself.
Today it is the biggest shopping day of the year in the United States of America. It’s Black Friday!. Over a 100 million Americans wisely start their Holiday shopping today to take advantage of massive discounts. Over the past few years the American tradition has made its way to Europe and today I’m sharing a selection of the best Black Friday Deals of 2017. As you may know, I live in the Netherlands. So most deals will only count if you are going to shop here. Before I start I want to share some exciting news with you guys.
Yesterday I did a collaboration with one of the biggest newspapers in the Netherlands. The newspaper was looking for people who were willing to share some tips on how to score the best deals on Black Friday. I was also asked to send up a picture of me but I had no idea how they would use it in their article. After dinner when I checked my phone I received so many messages of family and friends who spotted me in the newspaper. It was so legit. If you’re interested you can read the article here. It is written in Dutch though.
Hi dolls! Oh my god can you believe that I’m turning 25 in less than two weeks?! Time flies by so fast! I normally just celebrate my birthdays with my boyfriend cause it’s also our anniversary then. How cute is that, right?! I haven’t celebrated a birthday with my family in ages and now that we have our own apartment I thought why the heck not?! 25 is a big milestone. I thought that it would be nice to create a 25th birthday wishlist. So that if I get asked what I would like to have for my birthday, I actually have an answer!
Hi guys, how was your weekend? I had a really nice time, especially this Saturday. It has been a while since my love and I went on a fun date night together so we planned a nice evening. We both wanted to see the musical hit The Lion King for a long time but the tickets were always really expensive. When I found a big discount online I was super excited and immediately booked us two tickets. This Saturday was also the last day of the International Fireworks Festival Scheveningen. After the musical we stopped by the beach to enjoy the magical fireworks.
Hi ladies! How is 2017 going so far? I must say, starting work again after a two-week break wasn’t easy. But, the Holidays are over and it’s time to face reality again. So as much as I’m looking forward to this weekend, I would like to look back at my favorite moments of 2016 since it was a really good year for us! A year with downs but thankfully a lot more ups!
